We're extremely proud to announce Peter Starykowicz's victory at the 2008 Athens to Atlanta race. In a loaded field of very strong skaters, including Bont's Mike Anderson and Luis Carlos Mejia and Twincam's Eddy Matzger, Team Rainbo's Peter Starykowicz edged out Mejia for his first victory in the grueling 89 mile race.

Said Starykowicz, "I came here to win, so this really feels good."

A skater from the Texas Flyers is attempting the unthinkable: Skating across the USA in inline skates, hoping to get into the Guiness Book of World Records. Believe it or not, it has been done once before by Rusty Moncrief in March of 2002. The current record stands at 69 days, 8 hours and 45 minutes. Dan hopes to break that record, planning on skating the distance (2,500+ miles) in something slightly over 30 days. That means he must average 100 miles a day!
