Casey Darby

Casey started speed skating at the age of 11 in his hometown of Montgomery, AL (part of the GT Speed Skating Club) back in the days on quads at the local roller rink. After years of racing indoors, transitioning to inlines and several national
placements later, he decided to give ice a try.

In Calgary, Canada, Casey attended a week long short track ice clinic where his life would change forever. Casey met some Northbrook short track team members and one Chicago business partner that offered him a job in Chicago. This presented the opportunity to skate with the short track team. Returning from Calgary shortly after graduating from college in 2000, Casey moved to Chicago to skate short track with the Northbrook team and compete in long track ice at the Pettit.

Once in Chicago, Casey quickly found the Rainbo Skating Club and began skating with the team. The greater Chicago area has one of the best skating scenes in the U.S. where Casey enjoys skating indoor/outdoor inline and short/long track ice.
